Learn about Spring Wildflowers, Ferns, and Lichens, then Hike to Find Them
5/13/23 to 5/14/23 | 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Learn about spring wildflowers, ferns, and lichens, and hike with us along St. Joseph's Ridge. We'll identify as many as we can, and log our findings on the iNaturalist website as part of the Driftless Area BioBlitz project that catalogs diverse plants and more. This is part of the national effort to involve citizen scientists in documenting our incredible biodiversity. The Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration are hosting this event for Strive 2 Thrive. Starting with a short lecture, you'll learn about wildflowers, ferns, and lichens, and then we will continue with an intermediate-level hike along a well-maintained trail.
This is part of an ongoing BioBlitz campaign to identify biodiversity in the Driftless region.
